WhatsApp Portable, Simple. Secure. Reliable messaging!
"In a quick session with the app, I found it fast and responsive. A desktop app may feel like a small thing, but messaging apps derive part of their power from ubiquity — the more places you can access them, the more often you'll use them. WhatsApp has more than 1 billion users already. As of today, they have one more reason to keep it open all day." —Casey Newton@CaseyNewton, (May 10, 2016, 7:08pm EDT)
"The apps are synced with WhatsApp on your mobile device so you won't miss any messages. ... The apps run on your desktop, meaning you'll have support for things like native desktop notifications and keyboard shortcuts." —Angela Moscaritolo, (May 11, 2016 10:50AM EST)
"Great app. All I need. ... Helps me to stay connected, easy to navigate." —sheilaksm (a user), (April 14, 2017)

Release Notes

  • Windows 8 (32 bit) and higher.
  • WhatsApp must be installed on your phone.
Single Bit and Dual Bit Releases
You can use these releases interchangeably, both use the same data profile. You can upgrade to the single bit release, or later upgrade it to the dual bit release, or vice versa.
The single bit (32 bit) is for those who want to save space.
The dual bit (32/64 bit) is for users who want to use the 64 bit version of the application on Windows 64 bit. And since it also has 32 bit application binaries, it will still run on Windows 32 bit.

DIY/Do It Yourself: Upgrade to the Latest Release

Requirements 7-Zip, NPP/Notepad++ or other text editor, Launcher Generator/PAL, Installer/PAI.

     DisplayVersion=0.2.8000 (32/64 bit)
  8. Run PAL, paste the template folder address C:\0TEST\WhatsAppPortable _3264, and click Go—a new launcher will be created, Create new launcher
