Iridium Browser Portable, A Browser securing your privacy. That’s it!
"Default search engine of iridium browser is Qwant which does not track their users ...restricts to send cookies by Default but it can me changed on setting ...few extensions enabled by default ...All other features like signing with google account and sync remains same as Chrome browser ...overall , Iridium browser is all chrome browser but with few important privacy feature enhanced by default." —Rabindra Aryal, (Aug 16, 2016)
"So increase your "privacy" at the risk of your security? Personally, I trust a fully-patched chrome more than a browser that lags behind the latest security updates by 6 weeks." —notatoad (a user), (24 Jan 2016)
"...a tool that can offer you more security and control over the data that can be transmitted to unauthorized third-parties, then Iridium might be the browser to check out." —Alexandra Sava, (Sep 11, 2016)
Iridium is a free, open, and libre browser modification of the Chromium code base, with privacy being enhanced in several key areas.
Automatic transmission of partial queries, keywords, metrics to central services inhibited and only occurs with consent.
In addition, all builds are reproducible, and modifications are auditable, setting the project ahead of other secure browser providers.
It's a great alternative to Iron browser or Epic Privacy Browser.
